Today for maths we made 3-Dimensional shape called a polyhedron. They are made up of a group of polygons. I made 2 3D shapes today and I was very proud of my work. We also learned a formula used by Leonhard Euler for 3D shapes and decided to test it out with ours. (above) This is my pentahedron. A pentagon in 3D form. (Below) This is my tetrahedron. A cube-like shape.
I am a year 7 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in room7 and my teacher is Mrs. Tuakoi.

We are learning how to - Write a paragraph
Room 7 - Cheeseburger paragraph
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Room 7 is a very productive class. Room 7, a class in Glen Innes School, has just started to get creative. Just recently, the class has been doing loads of art. In this classroom, you will find colourful things everywhere, from colours and pictures to words and work. There are a lot of students in Room 7 who like to bring their own colourful things. Even their bags are entertaining. I guess you could say that this class is very imaginative, because they are always doing things that make their room better and innovative. Now when you walk into this classroom, you will see that there are all sorts of things you can do to make something beautiful.

National Young Leaders Day (NYLD)
Myself and six other girls went to a special event called National Young Leaders Day. We had an awesome experience there and when we came back to school, we made a slideshow all about it. Here is the presentation we made. Click here.
Omaru creek - Questions and Answers
Q: What pollutes the stream/river?
A: Dumping rubbish and junk in any water source can lead to pollution. Even if you don’t throw your rubbish in these waterways, tossing your waste and refuses down drains can harm all types of water inlet.
Q: How can we make the stream clean?
A: Keeping a tidy stream is hard work. First, you need to work well around others. Teamwork, it really does help. If we all worked together as a team and kept every water source clean, we would only have to worry about a few more things like trees for shade and cooling, etc.
Q: Why is it important to keep the streams clean or healthy?
A: Bringing back the dragonflies would be a lot nicer. In any water source, dragonflies like to live. But most of them are dirty and unhealthy. I don’t think our creatures would like to live in filth. Would you?
Personification poem
We had to write a poem using personification. Our poem ad to be related to sports. I wrote my personification poem about a soccer ball.
I get kicked around a lot, In the goal’s my favourite spot. Once I go in, I come back out, I’m always getting tossed about. I’d love to stay inside the goal, But I have a special role. I’m one both teams, but I wish that I wasn’t, I want for it to stop, but no, it doesn’t.
Not until a team wins, does my restfulness begin. Sometimes I want to cry, But they don’t know it. No matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to show it.
I’m white with black hexagons, there is only one of me, there aren’t tons. What do you think I am? Can you guess my name. It is very similar to the name of my game.
What Am I?
