Deserted!

Desert Island

It was a tranquil and sunny day when I found myself deserted on a tropical island. The sun was blazing with flames as I explored the island. It was really sandy and dry because everything was crowded by the rays of the sun.

It was lifeless on the island and everything there was untouched. It was a calm day until a sandstorm started drifting up above me. “SWOOSH”.  I quickly ran for the nearest and safest place around. Finally, I found a sand shed right next to a huge pile of sandy rocks. I thought quickly, then after a bit of asking myself what to do, I grabbed some rocks and threw them around the shed one by one, hoping my plan would work, and sure enough, it did.

“close call” I said to myself.
I scurried out of the sandy hut and wiped myself clean. “COUGH COUGH”, I coughed. The sand was so dusty from the shed. I wiped off all of the sand and walked back to the hot and sandy desert. When I got back, it was burning as hot as chilli sauce. As I drifted off to sleep I found myself in my room. “What a weird day”, I thought to myself.

This is a story I wrote about a dream on a deserted island.

My Summertime poem

SUMMERTIME POEM - Jazire

The sun is hot and steaming
The waves on the beach are gleaming.
They sparkle like stars in the night sky
While all of the little birds fly up high.

The kids like to roll around in the grass
And all of their parents get their peace at last.
Summertime is the time of fun
It's warm and calm under the sun.

So when it's summertime don't forget
to grab a hose and DO get wet.
Mmm Plums, Ice cream and chocolate chips
I eat them all up and throw away the pips.

Longer days and shorter nights
More time to play no worries in sight.

I love summertime!

Fia Fia Night

The maori group went to Fia Fia night at Bailey road school to perform for everybody.
It was awesome! We got to have a feast and watch all the schools perform their very own dances and stories.
The performance I liked best was the Bailey road school Kapa Haka group.
They were GREAT!
I liked Fia Fia night so much. I hope the maori group gets to go next time.

Jazire, persuasive writing

Kiwi fruit.
Today we did persuasive writing about kiwifruit...
This is what I wrote

These are the persuasive words I wrote to make people buy kiwifruit.

I guarantee that you will be astonished at how tasty this fruit is.
When you eat a kiwifruit, you will be impressed by it’s juiciness.
This kind of fruit is a sensation and it helps you get more powerful by the minute.
In every bite you take, a stronger person you will make.
